The Merdeka Trail Run on August 11, 2024, was a huge success! Despite the morning rain, participants powered through the challenging 10 and 20-kilometer courses within the lush 207.41-hectare Panbil Eco Edu Park. The spirit of competition was high as runners vied for a share of the IDR 17,500,000 cash prize, with everyone eagerly anticipating the Merdeka Trail Run medal at the finish line.
After the race, the celebrations continued with a lively lineup of entertainment. Traditional dances showcased the rich cultural heritage, while Batam’s own Orkes Merantau and Disko Kaki Lima bands kept the crowd energized with their performances. It was a day filled with excitement, endurance, and community spirit!
